KARBOSORB®
is coconut shell based Activated Carbon having surface area in the
range of 700 - 1300 m2/gr. KARBOSORB® is produced using steam
activation technology operated at high temperature (800 - 1.000°
C), such that it is environmentally safe during its applications.
Due to its high surface area and its specific pores
structures, KARBOSORB® has ability to adsorb chemical substances
either in liquid or gas phase. Therefore, KARBOSORB® is suitably
used as adsorbent of pollutant in water and wastewater treatment,
and as adsorbent of impurities in sugar processing and sodium glutamate
production. In the other hand, KARBOSORB® is also suitable as
adsorbent for chemical targeted products.
In this application, KARBOSORB® can be adjusted
to release the adsorbed chemical by changing the operating condition
or flowing other solution as eluent. With this characteristic, KARBOSORB®
has various uses in solvent recovery and product recovery. In general,
the development of KARBOSORB® Activated Carbon usage precedes,
along with the progress of science and technology, continuous improvement
of human living standard, and the betterment of living environment.
This will apparently ensure the increase use of KARBOSORB®.
